General surgery

Often carried out in breeding, soft tissue surgeries are performed by our veterinarians.

An anesthesia protocol is established according to the age of the animal, planned surgery and pain per- and post-operative. Also we can perform different types of anesthesia associated with the management of pain and analgesics per- and postoperative

– general anesthesia (navel surgery, laparotomy on calves, castration horses),

– loco-regional anesthesias (trimming on painful condition, amputation d’onglon)

– spine anesthesia (navel surgery, laparotomy on calves),

– epidural anesthesia (calving, uterine prolapse, cesarean, laparotomy)

– local anesthesia (dehorning, laparotomy, trimming)

The most common surgeries are :

– Caesarean sections on cattle and sheep

– abomasum dilation-torsion operations and other laparotomies

– omphalites (infection of the navels of calves)

– hoof care and amputations

– castration of horses
